Priest admits Hell is an invention of the church to control people with fear.

My sentiments are exactly with this priest. I feel that positive affirmation of God within us and we taking charge of our personal responsibility in life is much more life-giving than forcing sinfulness and condemnation down our throats and everyone’s judgment of one another! It just has not made sense to me as to WHY God would send his Son to die for us—Jesus came to an untimely death BUT not because God willed it…that just does not make sense! Humanity was not ready for Jesus…so the choice was made to kill him. Jesus did NOT have to die FOR our sins….I think he died because OF the sins of humanity. The Church then made him into this sacrificial Lamb. The Church could have presented Jesus, instead, as the Person of Love that he was. Fear does exert control…but it also brings with it judgment and comparison. Love, on the other hand, promotes self-acceptance and personal responsibility.

such warmth of love

coming from above

sunbeams cut through the line

the sun flamed its way into my mind

the love crystals were singing a carol

the siren lured me in so docile

she smiled at me first

oh and how it did quench my thirst

i responded to the sunset red jewel

who thought love could be so cruel

i held her love tenderly to myself

silent the authors on the bookshelf

i ran for her every word

the phone never silent for she i heard

burning with the sun’s desire

i flew ever so close, wings of sapphire

and just as soon

emotion was as far away as the moon

my love was thrown on a funeral pyre

sunset red sunset red  red sunset sun blazing red red blood sunset sunrise

no she did not understand my relentless fire

no she did not understand what she had begun

no she did not understand the song that would not be sung

she did not see how she seared my soul

she did not see how the heart could never be consoled

the scorch was as deep as a ravine

tearing out my very being

i gave her my all

my  heart bereaved

the comet comes hurtling down

i am left with a broken crown

sunset flamed red

heart crimson lit and all is said

red sunset bleeding through the day

mountains and valleys lost their way

sunset burning

my heart left yearning

i am lost and spent

my heart in eternal lament

you captured me

you came into the room

and all else disappeared

my heart melted into yours

the brilliance of you premiered

my ear listened to you every word

for seconds turned into minutes

and minutes into hours

time became  a single digit

time stood absolutely still

the rest of  life passed by me

for only YOU captured my being

i saw or heard nothing …only YOU did I see

then one day, nonchalantly you did say

“Well, I found a new attraction…”

i was lost and could not understand

i could not feel your dissatisfaction

how is it possible to be so in love

and the other person is a million universes away?

how is it possible to be so saturated

and the other person does not hear a word you say?

how does one get so captivated by the other?

how does one play a song that is so misunderstood?

how does one lose themselves so completely?

how does one revive from such a deep falsehood?

English: This new image of the reflection nebula Messier 78 was captured using the Wide Field Imager camera on the MPG/ESO 2.2-metre telescope at the La Silla Observatory, Chile. This colour picture was created from many monochrome exposures taken through blue, yellow/green and red filters, supplemented by exposures through a filter that isolates light from glowing hydrogen gas. The total exposure times were 9, 9, 17.5 and 15.5 minutes per filter, respectively. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Poignant regret pierces my soul

Feeling the distance of the terrain

Sagaciously the ideas trip over one another

Your memory jeweled my morning with delight

Intuitive…gentle…listening heart

Love carries the heart to places it should not go

Deep within the recesses of the waves

Perspicacious judgment leaves the moment

the subtlety of your response

intimately found its way to my heart

the gentle smile

the touch of your hand…the kind words

what was it that came between

the moment of delight…the risk

that caused you to take flight?

one thought…one fear..that’s all

leaving  my heart with tears

Love carries the heart to places it should not go

Deep within the recesses of the waves

Perspicacious judgment leaves the moment

Longing for the want as the water moves to and fro

Who is this woman who captivates the heart

Salient dreams nourish the gentle graciousness

As the coy smile appears on her lips

Demeanor revealing  the finer art

The plaintive cry of the Salish Sea

Woman so strong…mesmerizing…calling

Yet deftly refraining…beckoning me onward

Quietly drifting over the waters to me

the petaled warmth of you

i don’t need you

i want you

i know you need life to surprise you

i would never take that from you

when we lay down to sleep

and you are there beside me

my heart would be in heaven

i would gently reach for you

during the quiet of the night

and kiss you softly…

when the morning light

would shine in through the window

i could gently brush your bangs from your eyes

and softly kiss your forehead

i would deftly run my finger

over your lower smiling lip

sensually allowing kisses to drop

like petal softness

i could…i would

if you would let me…

hold you close…
